Worshipping Lord Shiva is always a blissful for their devotees since a long time. According to Shiv Mahapuran performing a Mahadev Abhishek removes all pain and sufferings from the devotee’s life. Mahadev Abhishek is performed on all Mondays especially on Mondays falling in holy month of Shravan. Even on pornima or full moon day Mahadev Abhishek can be conducted. This Abhishek is only performed by experienced and certified pandit. The bath of Shivlinga is done by Panchamrut (mixture of cow milk, ghee, honey and banana). After bath Shivlinga is decorated with flowers and sugandhit dravya. All family members seek blessings from Lord Shiva and ask for their prosperity and harmony after performing this Abhishek.
