Ganesh Sthapana Pooja is done on Ganesh Chathurthi which falls on the 4th day of Bhadrapada month according to the Hindu calendar. This occasion is generally in August or September according to our regular calendar. Lord Ganesh is the second son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He is the god of wisdom, intellect, and prosperity.
On this auspicious day, devotees bring an idol of Lord Ganesh to their house or office. They decorate it with flowers, garlands, jewelry, and lighting. First of all, Pooja is performed by a pandit, and then Ganesh Aarti is performed. Everyone seeks blessings from Lord Ganesh by chanting the Ganesh mantra and prayers. Ganesh Sthapana Pooja brings joy, prosperity, and well-being to the life of all devotees.
