The Bhoomi Poojan is performed according to the Hindu Vaastu shastra. Vastu means Bhoomi and is considered one of the gods in Hindu culture. Bhoomi Poojan is usually done on the land which is purchased for construction or agricultural purposes. Pooja is done to remove Vaastu dosh or negative energies from the Bhoomi or land.  

The Pooja is conducted on the Tithi suitable for Vaastu Poojan. This Pooja is performed at the northeast corner of the land. Pooja starts with Ganesh Poojan later followed by spade ,brick and land Pooja. Havan is also required to complete this Pooja. Once the Pooja completes construction or other work can get started on that Bhoomi.
